When I planned my own wedding, I was set on a destination wedding. As an event planner, I knew what I wanted to do, I knew how I wanted the event to flow, each detail was pared down long before I ever reached out to start to book my vendors and venues. It was going to be a breeze… after all, this was what I did professionally.

I lasted two weeks. And then I cancelled the wedding, and we eloped.

I have been planning and producing events for couples in destinations for my entire professional career, and it was the most frustrating experience of my life. It was at that point that I vowed (yes, vowed, it was a very dramatic moment) to create a resource that would give brides all of the information that destination experts have at their disposal.

And so we did. We created a company that addressed the specific needs that only destination wedding couples have. We created a style and format of wedding planning that has never existed before. We tested, sighed, laughed and changed every element that should be changed for a 21st century wedding, and kept all of the timeless advice and guidance that we know you will need.
